Baseball: America's Pasttime

The sport that brought people together was baseball. During the 19th century, baseball began in amateur clubs, leading to the establishment of the National Association of Base Ball Players (NABBP). The league ran for 12 years until the Major Baseball League (MLB) was created, with the Cincinnati Red Stockings being the first professional baseball team.
