About Me
I am a first-generation Vietnamese American, and the youngest of three in the family. I am a recent graduate at Drexel University, currently holding a Master's degree in Library and Information Science. Prior to Drexel I have a Bachelor's degree in Historic Preservation from Temple University. As of 2021, I work overseas as a school librarian at the Pennsylvania American International School in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. By the Fall 2024, I will earn my certificate in school librarianship at the University of Pittsburg.
While growing up, I've been a curious person, and my curiosities grew more when I was at Temple University. Temple gave me the opportunity to go around Philadelphia and learn something I would never learn about before. Philadelphia's history really fascinated me, and that made me become interested in local history. And that local history brought me to my own hometown in Ambler, PA, and the Wissahickon Valley Historical Society.
I chose to study historic preservation and library science because I enjoy educating others. I like to explore things no one has ever explored before, and I wanted to express my findings to all of you. I want to prove to everyone my field is worth studying for, and this website and blog will show you how dedicated I am in doing this.
